RICHARD COOMBES
DIRECTOR
Richard has been in the lighting industry since 1990. He enjoys the creativity of designing
with light but also meeting the needs of the client. Richard has a favorite saying which
he incorporates into every design “you don’t know what you don’t know”,
this is why at Coombes & Gabbie, we specialise in lighting to create the best result for each client.
JOSHUA RIETEMA
LIGHTING CONSULTANT
Joshua started working for Coombes & Gabbie in 2017 and works as a lighting consultant.
Joshua has a Graduate Certificate in Science & Technology (lighting).
Joshua has been in the electrical industry for 6 years and decided to branch out into lighting.
BEKS SORRELL
AUCKLAND ACCOUNT MANAGER
Beks is new to the Coombes and Gabbie team and will be running the Auckland office.
Beks background is in fashion and interiors but has always had a passion for lighting and architecture.
Her strengths are connecting with people and working together to create beautiful spaces.
RENEE BEALE
TERRITORY REPRESENTATIVE / LIGHTING DESIGNER
Renee has made her return back to Coombes and Gabbie after her adventurous two year O.E,
living and working in Scotland. She will be taking on the role of territory rep
and lighting designer covering the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions,
based out of the Hamilton office/showroom. Renee worked for us for 4 years after completing her
diploma in Interior Design, so she brings with her great knowledge and experience.
ELLENS CHEN
LIGHTING DESIGNER
Ellens joined the Coombes and Gabbie team in 2017 as a part time lighting design assistant
and showroom adviser. She has now graduated with a Diploma in Interior Designer and a Bachelor
of Media Arts specialising in Graphic Design and has joined the team full time as a designer.
Ellens is our go to girl when it comes to Dialux, she is a pro at rendering. Her life motto is “make impossible possible”.
ANDREA CLARKIN
ACCOUNTS & ADMINISTRATION
Andrea works part time doing the financial accounts and attending to
any administration matters to ensure that Richard and the rest of the team can focus on their roles.
Andrea has a background in accounting and management in the Dairy & FMCG industries.
She joined our team in 2013 after having a career break while her children were young.
GRANT PERRY
LOGISTICS
Grant has been in the IT Industry for over 25 years
and started working for Coombes & Gabbie in 2016.
His main role is to manage the IT side of the business and offer IT support.
Grant is passionate about all things IT
and enjoys finding more efficient and effective ways of doing things.
ROBBIE LITHGOW
LINEAR LIGHT MANUFACTURER AND DELIVERIES
Robbie has been working at Coombes & Gabbie since 2016.
Robbie is based in the Coombes & Gabbie
factory where he manufacturers linear lights, he also makes deliveries to clients.
